That’s what the now 26 year old singer/song writer and guitar ace Morgan Celner and his band The Carolina Reapers will be doing when they pass through Colorado this month. Most people have at one time or another wondered, “What would it be like to be a rock star?” Now viewers get to see the dirty and many times comical truth.
Filming for the new reality show “Breaking The Band”, The show is a cross between 70’s TV sitcom “The Partridge Family”, and misadventure reality shows like “Duck Dynasty”. Life on the road is hard and filled with crazy - and at times trauma inducing events that are filmed even when things are hard. Morgan loves creating and performing music. Morgan and his band peddle a very unique gritty yet soulful brand of bluesy rock for all ages.
Their sound references everyone from blues legends like Buddy Guy to classic rockers like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. Morgan and his band pack a lot of energy and emotion into their live shows. Celner pogos his body around the stage like a rubber bouncy ball while getting up on his tippy toes, exhaling every last bit of energy into his vocal performances. The band’s steady but rollicking bass lines and drum beats are the glue that holds the whole thing together.
